Kellogg Company Launches National Tour
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Tony the Tiger and some of his closest friends bring breakfast fun to families throughout the country as the second annual Tonymobile tour gets underway. The tour, which launches at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo on February 6, showcases Tony the Tiger and his friends Toucan Sam, Dig’Em and Snap! Crackle! Pop!

Over the next year, the famous Kellogg’s characters travel across the United States in the custom-made Tonymobile, a 23-foot long, 13-foot high traveling “character-vehicle.” Tony and his friends will visit some of America’s most exciting festivals and fairs, bringing the Kellogg’s gang to life for people of all ages. Following the tour launch in San Antonio, families can mingle with the Kellogg’s characters in Miami, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver and Washington, D.C.

While visiting the Tonymobile, families have an opportunity to take photos with Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam, Dig'Em and Snap! Crackle! Pop! and learn about their favorite characters and cereals. Samples of Kellogg’s, newest products are also available.

“The Tonymobile, is more than just a fun vehicle – it’s a great opportunity to interact with your favorite Kellogg’s characters,” said Jenny Enochson, director marketing communications. “Tony the Tiger and his friends have graced breakfast tables for decades, and we’re thrilled to provide the chance to meet them.”

The Tonymobile, designed by Prototype Source in Santa Barbara, CA, weighs 9,500 pounds (or 4.75 tons), has over 20 different colors and took 3,000 hours to build. It runs at 285 horsepower and features a Chevrolet 350 Vortec V-8 engine. More details about the Tonymobile and the tour can be found at the Tonymobile Web site, www.tonymobile.com.
